There are different swaybar holders that come in the kit that have different slot sizes to hold the bar securely (but still allow it to move easily)

Check for the number of dots on the top of the swaybar holder. 1 dot is the smallest holder, 2 is a step larger, etc.

Hey Guys,
I was having issues with my carpet set up on the TC5R, so I decided to try the last race set up by Keven Hebert. The change was dramatically better and brought the car to the front. Very impressed with Keven's set up.

God Bless

If I'm not mistaken, the TC5 uses ASE hardware and all Tamiyas are metric. Also the Tamiya blue is a little lighter than the Associated blue. You can probably find a blue screw kit for the Factory Team edition.

TC5 has metric hardware. I got my blue screws from http://www.fastener-express.com
They're as close as you'll get to AE blue for metric screws.

Questions?? Steering vibration at full turn

Just a quick question. My TC5 steering vibrates like hell at full turn. I checked the CVD and its all straight, no binding and the wheels clear the suspension arm too. No vibration whatsoever if the front tires are straight though.

Has anybody experienced this?

TIA.

Reduce the steering using the EPA on your radio. The chatter is caused by the joints in the CVs being turned too far.

I'm running indoor carpet track with a 17.5. its a VTA styled class with hpi vintage tires. I need more rear traction. Should I add weight to help this??

Have you already tried everything like reducing droop in the rear or adding it in front, or lighter oil, softer springs, laying down the shocks, more toe-in or steeper shorter camber links?

Thumbs up TC5.....VTA

I just got a steal of a deal on a like new TC5R. Does anyone have a VTA setup for carpet.. We are running 21.5 motors and 1450 min. weight. I am going to start with the stock rubber kit set up for now. The TC4 is going to the shelf for now!!!!!!!
