Default 540 gearing

Start with a rollout of 40 and work your way up from that point. Keep a close eye on the motor temp

Hey guys im new to onroad and the tc5. i just traded for my car and i think the belts are flipped and it makes it tough to get a lipo in there. To flip them back do i need to swap the diffs front to rear or keep them where they are and just flip them around?

Don't swap the diffs front to back. Turn them over and swap the belts over on the pulleys that are mounted on the layshaft

You wouldn't want to swap the diffs because you might have the diffs tightend differently.

I have my belts swapped and have no issue with lipos. Are you trying to move them as far as to the center as possible?

my servo is Airtronics 94357 and I'm using the "A" servo horn with a spacer behind the servo mount. Is the servo link to the servo saver supposed to be directly inline, or is it slightly angled?

You want to run the belts the way they came on the car and mount the electronics as far in as possible. Then run the lipo out and a little away from the belt. The battery slots in the TC5 were made for NiMh and with the lipo it doesn't balance. Flipping the belts and mounting everything a little more to the right will make it easier to balance the car side to side.

Me of slow info on ROAR rules, was informed that they changed the weight rules for rubber tire from 1500 grams to 1420.
Now how do you get the TC5r down to 1420 grams and keep it balanced?
Ideas?
Thanks and God Bless

I have to add weight to mine to get it to 1420. What are your components? Here is a list of mine.

Ballistic 17.5 with novak heat sink
Tekin RS
Sr3000
futaba 9551
AMB pt
SMC 5200 28c 2s lipo
Exotek chassis and top deck. I'm not using their battery strap thing. I use the original battery strap and tape the batter to it.

I have the following:
TC5r - stock chassis and top plate ( itf)
Tekin rs and 17.5
futaba s9551
micro spec. receiver
smc 5200 50c batt.
amb pt.
I use the stock batt. strap.
I use the PPD battery weight and holder

But the problem I see is getting the balance from Right to Left and keeping it below 1420.

What are you using for the battery strap and weight under it?
