Great CAR
Yep, I have the Exotek chassis- top plate but I love the TC5. It's durable and if you do break it parts are everywhere and dirt cheap. The car is also easy to set up and quite forgiving.

Look back a little in this thread, Christer Andersson answered this question, Also you can cheap oout a little and save about 50% on a set of the knock off Atomics unless you already have the Xrays

Ok so today at practice I am driving down the straight with a 13.5 motor pinned and all the 17.5 motors are even with me.. I didnt have my LRP speedo programmed to 8 so I changed that and I didnt notice a difference.. The guys said I should be smoking them with the gearing I have.

I dont know what gives.

Hi

What affect does small tires have on roll center compared to larger tires, like 58mm foam vs 56mm or 64mm rubber vs 63mm rubber

Thanks Ya`All

They are likely running the new Tekin software

Which one LRP? There is a lot of them, maybe you have LRP without
advanced timing (new one) and there is your problem.

So basically with the Sphere TC Spec at 8 I am still going to get the run around from the Tekin? And will be even slower with the 17.5 cause I am running 13.5 now and the 17.5's are way fast?

Also next question.. As for gearing with a 17.5, what do you guys suggest? I know a lot of guys play with gearing but I dont have a ton of money to throw around with it. I know it depends on track size and stuff... My track is semi small 7 to 8 turns and a straight that is over 50'..

It also depends on the ESC, software and motor. Gear it at 6 and start going down till you get to around 160F

If you want to be fast, get a TEKIN RS with the Vegas soft ...

The Sphere TC Spec is at a definite disadvantage in comparison to the newer ESC's and technology as you are seeing. The 17.5 now runs like yesterdays 13.5

So which LRP is the best choice now?? and will it be as fast as the others? The motor has nothing to do with it does it?

I know there is a stock spec and a competition one.. I don't think I would get the stock one cause what if I wanted to switch motors? Or is the stock one a good choice?

If you are running stock, then TEKIN RS is your best choice, the LRP's cant do it in stock classes ...

I prefer the Tekin RS that way I don't need to buy the newest LRP to replace my outdated LRP, I can just update my current ESC.
