If you'll be running rubber tires on carpet, you'll want the TC5R. Factory team car has the plastic diffs, different chassis etc... The R and F are the updated cars and are specific for rubber or foam ties.

Anyone?

Or maybe another pulleys?
From losi 41T is to big

Now I test that with trf416 172T belt is a little loose on front (need some belt tensor) on rear is quite OK.

Regards!

m.

ps: I will try with my second tc5 build front slipper spool and test overdrive

I'm assuming the TC5 pulleys are 40 tooth then (I haven't counted them) I'll order one next time I place and order and try it. I always loved overdrive on the Losi cars years ago.

I've noticed that the inner edge where the tire wall meets the flat area tends to get a lip, and also when starts to go though the rubber itself you'll a greyish part. Those are a couple signs.

My setup changes worked well during yesterday's race, got a new personal best of 20.030 seconds with 15 laps, the car went heaps well until I needed a new CVA joint or re-build kit.

That there is

Considering I'm new to this car and learning the general stuff about car setup (only been racing since last Oct/Nov) this thread and other TC5 owners have been very useful.

If you try 39T at front and maybe for F and R just tell story about it

Regards!

Well I broke down and ordered the new Exotek chassis and toplate. After looking at a few of the cars with this setup I decided to give it a try. Damn it Jon if your car didn't look so killer maybe I would of not bought one. Ok thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

I ordered the chassis from Exotek on Sunday night and I already have my confirmation that is is shipping out today. Looks like by Wed or Thurs I will be tearing my car down and getting everything over to the new chassis. I will make all my changes to my car now and then all I have to do and transfer everything to the new chassis. I will have all the hard work already done. Weekend is looking brighter already.

If you are racing on asphalt, you will definitely be pleased with the Exotek.

Yes I run on asphalt. Most of my touring racing is asphalt rubber tire and a rare possibility I might run rubber tire carpet. The rubber tire carpet will be very rare at best since carpet tracks are pretty far away for me to get to.
