If tried to flip the belt's. Only bad thing is the long (front) belt will then be scratching the battery (or atleast be really close to it).
I've also tried to mount the spurgear in the center of both pulley's. Like Tamiya has it, to balance the layshaft better. That also didn't work.
Good luck, if you have an solution please post some pictures.

Greetings Robert

I have flipped the belts on my car. It helps if you run lipo, since most move the battery out.

I have thought about swapping the belts round, since my belt seems to come very close to my servo horn, what are the other benefits, if any of swapping the belt?

Regards

Neal

hi guys right now i have the worlds setup on it and WOW is it dialed. i am running 10.5 and i ran it yesterday and the air temp was 58 deg and the track temp was 90 ish. i ran and after running the motor temped at 145 and the speedo was at 105 deg. i am geared at 74 33 and i know that when it really starts to heat up i wont be able to run this gearing because it will thermal. but does anyone have any suggestions as to a different gearing that will give me the same speed but allow my motor to run cooler? right now the thing is a freakin rocket.

I'm running the SPX speedo on power profile 8 with gearing 87/32 with it coming off the track at about 117 - 127 degrees it seems great like a 2 speed or something.

Anyone else using this speedo? And what gearing and results are you coming up with?

The worlds setup is awesome for asphalt. I haven't run alot of 10.5 but your gearing works out to 4.48 which is geared too high for 10.5. Likely your not reaching top speed. You might want to move to around 5.5 FDR tops which would be dropping to a 27T pinion with your 74T spur.

Sorry for not understanding but put threadlock where exactly? Thanks!

I just looked at it. Its actually almost exactly the same to what I have been running for the past year. I just have some anti-dive and my shocks are opposite of the setup sheet.

Ya, I run here in Cali, so 40wt is almost always used due to the heat.

Ran my new to me TC5R and a loose asphalt track and I have to say for the first time running touring cars in almost 2 1/2 years and running brushless touring for the first time it was dialed. Couldn't be happier with my car for the first time out. Just went with kinda neutral setup and with the things I knew from previous touring cars I raced from the past and the TC5 worked great. Look forward to working on the setup more and progressing with my setup.
