Well it can be done but it requires a lot of work and some expense. What I did was to convert the knuckles and the rear uprights to Losi. This means you have to switch to english size bearings and older TC3/TC4 axles (or the JXRs LCDs) but the Losi knuckles are moulded to a tighter tolerance and that reduces some of the slop. The biggest problem is that the ackerman geometry is different and requires a special extension to be made to get you back to the Associated ackerman geometry. Losi did/does make a knuckle (XXXS ?) that has a second hole moulded in which makes it closer to the TC5 knuckle and I've seen one guy using it sucessfully. The rear Losi upright rquires two 1 mm spacers to make it fit in the arm and it is taller by about 2.5 mm but works well.
The ball cups are a different story .......

Wow, that is more work than I expected. I can't believe the amount of slop in these pieces. I initially didn't notice the slop until I began to more closely inspect the car.

after setting my ride hight and droop to 5.5 on rh and droop to what was recomended. and installing the chassis flex rings on the upper deck it still spins but now it is only on a right hand hair pin so i am thinking it may be a ballance issue i will have to try ballanceing it and see what it does then. i also ordered the losi shock tool part# LOSA99170 so i can set the shocks the same side to side so i will be able to rule them out.

Definitely sounds like a balance issue.

The acer bearings are no good. the APS ceramic bearings are the ones to get.

Questions?? castor blocks

I've ran associated since the tc4 came out, and on that, I ran 4 degree castor blocks as I was advised that was a good idea at the time. I've ran my tc5 pretty much since it came out, and haven't needed to do anything to it other than the usual replacement of broken parts. What I want to know is, if anyone has gone from the standard 0 degree to the 4 degree, what difference if any have you noticed? Improvement or not?

it looks like a "tub" you just set the pack inside if it? I don't see any prices for it. How much is it?

Here's mine:

It's the Specialized LiPo tray. The upside to the tray is that it's adjustable, the downside is that it's expensive.

It is not a tub. It is a "keyed" plate and you servo tape the lipo to it.

I would contact PPD for a price.
