I'm guessing he's going by the "stated" measurement Associated claims the shims are, which would be a 1.5mm plus a 1mm.

Of note, Bryan and I found that Josh's setup sheet he's taken to using the ACTUAL measurement of the shims (which is about 20% less than Associated's stated thickness in most cases) and recording that.

I pm'ed admins about changing that for over a year and no reply to hook me up. Not sure about your name change suggestion Can't wait to get it out on the track again.

How are you guy's measuring your droop, like 2mm above ride height? What's the easiest way? I run 5mm ride height and 2mm above ride height, I usually try to stick my ride height gauge in under the screws.

I can't seem to find the part anywhere.
Associated #1403 (TC5 Steering Links) does not show up on Tower or Horizon.

I am having a problem with my tc5 pushing coming out of a turn. I have tried different spring combos but can't seem to fix problem. I put silver silver on car now and helped some. I run sorex 28 on low traction carpet. All the setups i see run 6 or 7 on droop gauge front and 4 or 5 rear. Was wondering if anyone has tried oppisite and if it might help my problem thankx.

I guess what I am actually looking for is the spur gear and pinion range for 64 pitch running 17.5 and 13.5 motors. I just would like to know how big a pinion I can use if I was to use a 106 tooth spur and how small a person can go with that spur gear. Thanks if anyone has an answer for this.

Hi Kevin,

Most of the time I run a Trinity duo 13.5

As for gears I switch between a 98/40 and a 106/43.

A 98/39 is about as small as you can go, it moves the motor all the way back.
The 106 spur moves the motor about half way forward with 13.5 gearing. Depending how you want the car to handle both are a good tuning option.

With your 106 I think the smallest pinion you will get on there will be in the low 30's. I'm not sure on the biggest.
If you just want to stick with 1 spur a 100 should reach all of your needed ratios for 13.5/17.5 unless you run at some really small tracks.

This is for the next time someone ask if the TC5 is a capable car. Just let them watch this video of Kevin Hebert laying it down!
