Thanks
You can buy or make a bumper that covers most of the front suspention under the foam bumper. Does wonders to protect the car.

Take your hinge pin holder and bolt it to the bulkhead. Measure it and thats how long your screw should be.

hope this helps

Takt.........a 3.5 fdr is way too much for the little tracks aroud here. Depending on the speedo and motor you will be somewhere between a 4.2 and a 4.6.

Josh, thanks for posting that setup. I finally gave it a try in the main and I picked up almost .5 seconds a lap. Now if I just could stay away from those 17 second laps I would be ok.

Thanks Josh ... I was told at I'll need to get a 17.5 fdr at 3.8 for the Novak Race ... sounds like that is too much...

I have a Sphere TC ESC and Novak 17.5

The other issue I have ... to get to a 3.8 (or 4.2) for that matter ... all the little pinions I've bought over the years are worthless ...

To get to a 4.2 ... my largest pinion is 40 (64p) ... so I need to find an 84 tooth spur...

What is the smallest 64p spur available?

This one with a speed 6 body. I am not as good of driver as he is but the car was really stable and easy for me to drive more consistantly.

I have an assortment of washers in my box and I measured all of them to get 1.6mm. I am pretty sure that the Xray ones are pretty darn close to get 1.6mm. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think .8mm is considered 1 degree.

As for the foam, the stock blue pieces. There are 2 pieces each for each cap from what I can remember. At least that is what I put in there. I also had a VCS2 shock conversion kit next time since I was robbing the o-rings out of there to rebuild mine. I could have gotten them mixed up as well. Needless to say I was thrashing to get it done.

start with an 88 spur and a 40 or 41 pinion for the novak race.........hunt me down when you get there and we will get you figured out.

A standard 4-40 washer is .8mm and they have the perfect outside diameter for shimming the arm mounts.
