What is an advantage of using a regular locked spool over a slipper spool over a regular diff?

A slipper spool will give a little when you hit the boards and a normal spool will not.

You will get a ton more onpower steering with any type of locker in the front compaired to the diff.

For pan cars, I though the "pro diff" had the spur riding on a bearing vs the metal of the axle. You used to see that term a lot years ago, but almost all the pan cars now have "pro diffs". In those terms the tc5 is a "pro diff" car too.

Simply not true in my experience. Actually one of the features of the high top deck on the car reduces the chance that the chassis will tweak.

It is possible, but not likely. Keep in mind that the kit come totally disassembled and usually tweaking occurs when the top deck get installed.

+ 1 on no tweak issues the only thing i found is slop in hubs and steering blocks just use ca on a q tip and apply around the hub and steering block let dry and you have a great bearing fit.\,or use team tamale aluminum hubs and steering blocks.

Am I doing something wrong? I've broken 3 shock caps in three weeks of racing. Two of those times, the shock cap was the only thing I broke.

Is this a common problem? I'm putting the shocks on exactly as described in the book. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

In a big wreck I have broke some too, it happens. What has helped for me is the Manutech kydex bumper that helps to minimize damage to the front end.

I think it is the only one on the market, and it works perfectly with the T2 Parma bumper (with a little customizing of the bumper to make it fit)

Thanks ... outside of the big wreck where I broke quite a bit ... they have been minor shots where the shock cap has broke. I'll mark it is a strange deal and get a better bumper.
