If your local hobby shop can get the Speedrex tires then I think the APS bearings come from the same place. Might be worth asking.

As for extra parts too look in to right away, I posted this about 5 pages back, but it is a great place to start for getting extra parts. (take it from me, I currently break more then Keven )

Also a few extra bearings wouldn't be a bad idea as well as a screw kit, and extra ball studs.

As for upgrades, the car IMO doesn't need any, but I would get a AE spring kit (it might say for the TC3, but it is the same thing), and then I would look a few set-up's that you might want to try running and get those shock oils.

You can add spacers to the rear arm mounts or get some 0.5 or 1.0 degree toe in rear hubs.

Hi Dave,

I don't think you need any upgrade for the car. As for spare parts, CarbonMadness covered it all except I would get some more blade for the cvds.

As far as setup goes, there are 2 setup from the IIC on www.rc10.com and you can also take a look at Josh Hohnstein setup it should be a very good sart but I think he ran a one way.

hope this help ! Let me know if you have any question

you can add more rear toe from the rear hub or you can add from the arm mount by adding shims in between the bulkhead and the arm mount. You have to be carefull because if you use too many shims you will want a longer screw to make sure it won't fall off.

In your case, I would had toe from the arm mount because from the hub will generaly make the car steer more in the middle of the turn compared to more toe on the arm.

Another thing you might want to try is going to a longer rear link. (outside on the rear hub ) that will give you more roll in the rear and won't square up as fast and should be easier to drive.

If it's a stock motor, you're gonna wanna be around 7 to 7.5 final drive. I believe the internal ration on the TC5 is 2.6 (Keven or Josh can correct me if I'm wrong). So, I don't remember what the stock spur is (as I have changed mine because i run a brushless) but a 69/24 would give you 7.475 (69/24 * 2.6). you could go up to a 25 tooth pinion and probably be ok. I'm not sure how well that would work as far as space and fitment, but that's a start.

Internal Ratio is 2.0. You can go to gearchart.com and find what gears would give you 7.0 - 7.5.

Alright then, you'll have to readjust your gears with the new internal ratio
