Hi Thanks!

i will be buying the TC5R, and i thought i should just stock up some parts.. just in case..
Driving is rusty, as you can imagine after 10yrs without touching a RC car.

So for the spares, would getting arms, bulkheads make sense?

for the caster block you mention, are they for the front or rear? Does the kit comes with spares?

What AE aftermarket spool are you using? Ref link in any? May one to buy one of those as spares in case..

Thanks!

*** I think the R version comes with the ITF top deck, chassis and blue springs, which i purchased as an extra so you should be fine.

*** Certainly not bulkheads and the arms seem tough .. ive not broken one yet.

*** no spares in the kit ... front caster blocks (c hubs)

*** part # AE31179

I use the JAAD spool.
http://www.jaadracing.com/

It's by far the best (compared to the titanium racing or the AE one)

I'm a fan of the Novak GTX. But if you want a bargain, Stormer Hobbies has a Tekin ESC for $60 on sale (bottom right corner of the home page). I'd go with that for the price. Competition level and all.

Also congratulations Keven!

If you want a great ESC for brushed only look at the Tekin FX, the thing is tiny and very easy to use and setup! I have been using one and love it alot!!

Anyone looking for an inexpensive, previously owned, well taken care of TC5 can find one here:

TC5 Team Associated TC5

More info on it to be posted tonight.

I will have to talk to the fellas I race with to see what they can do to stop taking me out. I seriously can't think of a time this year I've hit the rear tires. If I hit its usually at the front.

So been deciding what to get next as i need to start all over.. and finally made up my mind on the TC05R. As my local hobby shop do not support AE, nor does most of the the shops ard here.. i have to order my stuff online.
So i was thinking if i could get some help from the season guys here on the following:

- What are the parts (extras) that i should order?
- What parts breaks off easier and need replacements most? Since my hobby shop dont support AE, i have to buy pretty much buy everything online and i hate to have a bent/broken part to ruined my week.
- Which stocklist (online) would you recomend for gd service and fast delivery? (i need one that ships internationally.)
- Does the Spool (from the box) wears out fast? Lifespan?
- Would TC5 parts be a direct fit to TC5R?

Thanks you in advance!

if you are worried then buy 2 and then when you break a couple of parts order extra of those and if you dont want the extra kit later then sell it!

Me too!! I got tired of replacing them myself and I upgraded my bearings to full ceramics by Boca bearing. A little pricey but were well worth the money and they seem smoother then the original bearings. They seem to last alot longer

I bought a LRP Sphere in the end, because it runs Brushless as well, and in the future I will be running brushless too.
