Default handling difference

i have driven the original tc5 but am waiting for my tc5r to come in (taking to long) so does anyone have any comments on the handling difference.... eg high speed low speed corner speed on off power etc.... but on the basic setup before making changes!! more of a comparison!!

I was looking at a couple of different setups like juhos and drescher on a site from endland. They are running losi 57 pistons. what does that do for the car? i run rubber tires on carpet getting ready for vegas. will that help mid corner, i have a slight push. thanks in advance.

Has anyone got any feedback on the TC5R yet as I'm looking to get one as it looks Lipo friendly?

Thanks

Most people in this thread can speak to how the TC5R is if they run rubber tires. I've been running what is the TC5R since I got my TC5. I just had to update parts to the ITF chassis and of course modify setup and the O-Ring mod was done by the driving community long before the R version debuted. There is much discussion throughout this thread and I highly recommend taking the time to read it.

I think it's a durable car that is relatively easy to setup and for me having the parts readily available is a huge plus. When running asphault with rubber tires I haven't encountered a situation where I couldn't adjust the setup to get enough traction. A lot of variety in the TCs I run against and the TC5 is no slouch.

LiPo works great in this vehicle - especially when coupled with Verndog's PPDBillet ballast solution. Check out PPDBillet.com...makes balancing a breeze and the fit is awesome. No ejected LiPos since I put it in!

Sounds good then. I have seen those lipo things they look great. I currently have an Xray 008 and a JRXS-R and the Xray annoys me because you need to raise the top deck to allow the easy fitment of the Lipo. The Losi is fine because of the metal tray but it seems a bit weak.

Rick H. - Craig mentions removing the foam and pushing the piston half-way up before putting the cap on, is that what's meant by 50% rebound?

Bobby S. - I think that is what Craig meant. If you want more rebound, you can move the shaft further down before you tighten the cap this way you get more rebound. I usually never run more than 50 on both carpet and asphalt.
