Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anybody was looking for a TC5. The car has never been run but is built. I have an airtronics servo and LRP QC in the car. I am looking to give the car a good home at a fair price $400.00. I have some extra stuff that I can include.

Let me know by PM or e-mail

factoryteamkb@verizon.net

Thanks
Kevin Boyle

I wish I had 400 dollars to buy it...
Unlucky for me this time, it is the car that I've been wanting
ever since it was released.

Race report:

I have been driving my new TC5 for three days now. Practice on wed and thursday nad race on Fri. Couldnt get it to do what I wanted till the last pack on thur. Must have burned 12 packs in those two days.

Went in today and put a pack on it before the race. Seemed to be driving pretty good. Nice and stable but could carry speed threw the turns. So I dropped the 10.5 in to see if it could hold the HP. Sure enough it was still working.

Fastest lap of the day was a 10.2. I had a 10.3 for fastest lap. The car was stable no matter how I drove it. Even throwing it into some corners never really upset the chassis. It would just get sidways and stop. Not the fastest way around a track but usefull in 180s with traffic.

I would like to say I won but......My diving was a bit off tonight. Qualified 2nd and finished 3rd. Great battle to the wire for 2nd though. This car is tough as nails !! I have bounced off way too many boards over the last 3 days and I gotta tell ya........Nothing broke or bent !! I dont know how but, its still strait, true and fast.

I love this car !!!

Hi Guys, any directions in how to put together the one way diff kit?
Got one today and looks "fairly" simple...but still I don't want to do it wrong.
Besides, what are the orange o-rings for?
Also, do the outdrives just slid into the one way assembly and just stay there by the pressure the CVAs have against them? Seems too simple..

Thanks in advance.

PS: sorry if this has been discussed already. I can't find it.

Yep it's that simple. You don't need to use the o-rings.

Well I raced my new TC5 for the first time yesterday at my weely club race.

All Ican say is i was running rubber on carpet, new carpet, very slippery, and a front spool. I took first in both b-mains as we had time to double main.

I drove just as fast as the A-mainers only in the main, I guess I should up my game throught the quallies.

But the car is great, I have yet to experience the straight and true feel of the foam set-up, but for now, I am very happy.

Body choice question, for asphalt what would be a better choice, mazda 6 or the mazda speed 6?

I race on carpet with rubbers, but the track has the carpet glued to the concrete instead of everybody else's track that just pin the out side of the carpet and lay down the boards. It is a lot closer to med grip black top that carpet. I run the stratus 3.0 AP and love it. Made my car a lot easier to drive. Good down force but still pretty slippery down the strait with the wing dialed in.

True, I forgot about the stratus, ok what body would be the best choice for racing on asphalt with rubber tires? Stratus, DNA 2, Mazda 6, Mazda speed 6? I checked the proto site but they dont have the diff between the 2 mazdas.

As far as the shocks, I'd say that stiffer will = more responsive. The #3 pistons are gonna make the car pack up more too, which will definitely be responsive. I ran #57 losi pistons (kinda like a #2.5??) with 30wt oil, and i liked my car a lot. This was pretty high bite. Maybe if the bite was lower, I'd like a bigger hole piston.
you really running the car that soft? I am running 50wt in front. I think it might be better with 40 but anything below that seems way to fast. I will get to oil on this car one of these days.

On a side note......anybody ever play with diff height? What are the effects of raising and lowing the diff? Maybe a theory of what would happen?

IMO the spool is much better on med. bite asphalt. You get more on power steering, and the car is stable going into corners. you can tune the chassis to get the off power steering back. To me anyways, going from a diff to a spool made the car from good to great

to be honset, im not exactly sure what setting it changes, but a high diff makes more traction on that end of the car, and a low diff less.
