You're right, it is no more difficult to get parts except that at least locally here, if the shops can't get it from Horizon or Great Plains, they don't get it.

The shops traditionally stock AE and Losi parts. They have told me that they really don't want to support 3 or 4 different touring cars and end up with a bucket full of parts for a car that was the in-thing for a while (XRAY's car every 4-5 months).

Shops that only order from major distributors are getting left behind. Manufacturers have discovered that it costs less to distribute your own stuff than it does to give GP or Horizon the huge discount they insist on for selling your stuff and. Direct distribution also results in better info passing to shops and better service.

Its better for the shops too. GP and Horizon are always running out of stuff. Schumacher, Tamiya, R/C America, etc....are usually always stocked up (I know we are )

As far as getting stuck with parts...If the shop manager is sharp it doesn't happen. Any manger that is worth his paycheck should know his stock turns and only keep what he needs in stock between order cycles. If they get over stock and there is a model change they can always return parts for a small restock fee and get the new stuff.

AdrianM...please call the local shops here and tell them that! I would love to have more of a choice...but right now it's just not there.

I'm not arguing with you...I agree with everythng you've said. I'm just trying to deal with the reality of what's happening.

I think all Adrian is saying is don't blame the car makers like Schumacher, Tamiya, Xray etc... Blame the hobby shops.

That what I and all my counterparts at other companies do all day...every day

There are a lot of really good hobby shops out there but there are a lot of so-so and crappy ones too.

I don't blame the manufacturers...anyone wanting to convince the following hobbyshops to carry their cars...here's the list of the main shops in Columbus, OH.

Capstone Hobbies
Grandview Hobbies
Platinum Hobbies and Track

You can't blaim or expect a store to carry support parts for a car that is only being run by 1 or 2 people. I do however think that if you bought the car through the store that they should at the very least order parts for you if or when you need them.

OK all of you Loyal AE fans the time is winding down to ISTC Qualifying. Lets see what you think of the new AE ride and how it will do at the race.

I for one think there will be at least one in the A and two or three in the B.

We know that the following drivers will have them what do you think their chances are beacause these three guys have been on fire lately.

John Orr
Craig Dresher
Kyle Skidmore (sp)

note: I know there are more drivers just not sure of there names.

Lets go AE and bring home the hardware

Thanks Kyew,

That was the guy I was thinking about but could not remember his name. I think he was testing with Craig at the warm up race a few months back. If I not mistaken did he not make the show with a TC4 when the worlds were in FL. That just proves that the shaft car was good.

AE bring on the Belt and Bring home another WC title

Happy 4th of July to all

Juho was 5th at the worlds last year. how can you leave him out!?!?!

It looked really good at the Reedy Race, and was definitely on pace at the On-Road Nats... i think the car will be there, lets see if the drivers can step it up
