I don't think you will have a problem keeping up. Rubber is the commonly used tire on ashphalt and if the traction is good you will be fine. Foams definitely wouldn't last as long.

Thanks much Beavis, figured they would but wasn't sure. Have a lot of wheels and tires for the TC3.

Anyone using the aluminum outdrives on their TC5. See any advantage to using them maybe added strength.

Hi, The alu outdrives are much better, much stronger and about 4-5 gram more than std outdrives but thats no worries. Just make shure you use the pin/outdrive savers!!

This is a pic of my new layout running 5cell/novak brushless system.
Hopefully the car will be nicley balanced like this, Craig D was running this layout @ a recent race meet and he said that the balance was much better like this, His car did look dam good aswell

tcfree, what are the pin/outdrive savers? Do they come with the kit or the aluminum outdrive kit? If not its something else I have to pick up.

They come with the Alum Outdrive kits but it would be wise to get a spare package of them.

The plastic one is different but it still works in the aluminum, just not vice versa.
