Top Racing also makes a spool for the TC5. The aluminum version is now available with the steel version slated to be released by the end of the year i think? They also make spare blades for the spool.

Contact EJ Evans ([email protected]) for more information.

purple cow you should wait, if you try to use anything else, you will ruin the outdrives. you should have got a set w/ the kit though.

btw on the spool, does anyone notice that the spool, or most likely the pulley is out of round. I tried to center it, but I think it is causing the tension on the belt to be tighter based on the rotation of the pulley/tires.
associated spool that is

I don't think it's the pulley. I believe the issue is the spool doesn't center inside the pulley and since the screw holes don't center it, you're forced to try and center it by site which isn't very accurate. I believe that to be the problem. I had the same issue.

The only issue I have with the blades is a slightly snug fit. A small flat file to the alum. outdrives will release the tiny bit of bind. Mine work flawlessly and I doubt I'll need to replace them anytime soon.

Thanks Team Low Budget was in full effect......Rob's car was good on Foams and mine was good on Rubber tires. The Techno Viking was most pleased by this weekends performance.

Yep that's it. I'm still trying to get it perfect.

Wrap the hub with a little scotch tape. That will allow you to center it. Then pull it out (or not) once it is bolted in. I left mine in....

Good luck

What we have been doing is lightly sanding the blade with 400 grit sandpaper

Default Tamale

Hey guys I've used the Tamale stuff before and can say that his stuff is absolutely top notch..
I think it will stiffen up the front of the Tc5 a bit for running foam..
main reason i just ordered mine.
