Default roll out / fdr

Hi all . Looking for some help gearing our tc5 with the novak xbr system - 10.5 ex motor . We are running the same system but with the 13.5 at our track with a 39.35 roll out - fdr 5.03 - ( rubber / outdoors ) and it works great . We need to get some thoughts on the right ratio for the 10.5 . Thanks in advance .

Start @ ABOUT 6.1-6.3 fdr and take it from their see how warm/hot the motor is after 5min or so, The gear more or less dependin on the temp!!

STOP running the AE Aluminum outdrives without Blades!!!

The blades are part #31238, and come with x8 in a package. I recommend buying 2-3 packages of them.

I just ordered the Aluminum outdrives but i have not been able to find the spool. Oh well hopefully my home made one will hold up for a while. What set up is a good start for 19t asphalt? I may finally get to run it this weekend someplace other than in front of the house!

Give losipartshouse.com a shout. THey parts are way cheap! I tried a spool this past weekend, and it felt very fast thru the corners, just take some getting use to.

Mike what hop up parts are you looking for ?

If you are going to run rubber tire the only things your going to need to buy would be the rubber tire chassis and top deck ( itf chassis and itf top deck ) a spool and a one way . good to have both so you can try them out and see which is better on a particular layout.

As far as alumium hop ups for rubber tire that stuff is not needed as the material that is used to make the arms and caster blocks and steering knuckles are a bit soft compaired to the xray and corally stuff.. Which is very ideal for rubber tires and also are prone to less breakage.

Hey wallstreet: point taken, but not being very sharp on the track it is nice to have some rigidity, but not a manditory thing to have. thanks for the advice and also can the associated web page be more complicated to view?? or maybe it just me, another question:is the "itf" or what ever it is called just a thinner chassis and top plate??and what difference will the spool and the one-way make comparing to each other..thanks

Look for Juho Levanen's setup on the Associated website. It's a very good starting point and you can tweek it to your liking from there.
