That would be uptravel or "over ride height". The chassis move up 1mm in the front and 2 mm in the rear before the wheel lifts off the ground.

I'm fully aware of what droop is. The problem that I'm running into is that when I set the droop at 2 mm/1 mm respectively, it becomes virtually impossible to raise the ride height to 5 mm. If I set the ride height to 5 mm first, it is lowered when the droop is decreased. Do you see the dilemma? How can I get a ride height of 5 mm and the droop set at 2 mm/1 mm concurrently? They appear to be in conflict with each other. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Pete

Pete:

Try setting it like this: First set your ride height to 5mm. Then lift the car up so that the tires barely touch ground and set the droop so that you have 6mm or 7mm of rideheight at maximum droop.

Hard to explain but easy to do when you get it

If the droop is limiting your rideheight you have no droop at all.

Thanks,
I would start between 18-20mm. Since it is a large track you would probabley be safe with the higher end.

Right I have taken a look, The spool pully is not out of round but because the hole in the center is slighly to big when the screws are tightened up they move the pully tight to one side causing the pully to run out of line. AE please send me a new pully with the hole the correct size I guess I will have to line it up carefully when putting it on.

Im not sure whats worse... spool outdrives not building up properly or tc3 plastic outdrives melting like mine did LOL

You never had any problems like that with the tc4, must be a bit annoying with a new car! Hope it all comes good

Thanks Juho. I will give this a try. I had a similar experience in trying to set 2mm of droop on a Tamiya 415 MRE where I essentially had no droop. This technique should work on both cars.

Thanks again, Pete

I think he gets batteries from SMC. If I go to the track tonight I'll check and see.

Anybody have problems fitting their drivers into the M3x2.5 setscrews that go into the roll bar pivot and the M2x5 shcs screws that hold the anit-rollbars to the arms. My driver didn't even want to go in them except for one of the setscrews. I used a Losi, Integy, and Dubro 1/16 wrenches.

Ok..duh.
Wow the plastic on this cars suspension is soft. Hope it doesn't hurt performance w/foams. Anybody find a good foam/carpet setup?
My car also came with the ITF chassis/top plate. Anybody try this with foams or should I swap for the std. chassis.
