Thanks Kraig, but that doesn't quite work where I am. The other side of the world. It would take 3-6 months before my LHS would get them.

New Zealand. It doesn't make any sense for the LHS to order just a few parts. They have to wait until they have an order big enough to make it worth while.

Sorry about your luck. Steve from Speedtech should be able to get them for you. I am not sure what he charges for shipping to you but it might be something to look into if you can't wait.

What size bearings go on the lay shaft?

The manual has 8x4x3...

I was looking on the AVID site and could only find 4x8x3

Just wondering if anyone is running 64P and what 64P spur gears works for the TC5.
Thanks,

It depends on what type of motor you are running. If 13.5 brushless I have gone as low as 96 tooth. For regular stock I see you can go up to 112 or 114 but I have not used or seen it in person.

For modified, look at the setup sheets on Associated's website and see what was used there. That should give you an idea as well. Good luck!

holy ferriswheel!!! i was messsing with it the other day and i could not get the proper gearing for a 10.5 brushless with a 96 tooth. i would just stick with a 100 or maybe even go up to/between a 104

Depends on what you are running-- With foam tires on carpet we have been runing 112- 116 for all brushed motors and 5.5 or lower brushless.

4x8x3 is the correct size, they just typed the ID and OD backwards. All bearing sizes should be listed by ID x OD x Width.
