Are these aluminum diff halves direct replacements for the stock pieces? Meaning, do I have to buy anything else to run them?

I could be wrong, but I believe the new "blades" are needed for the new outdrives as well as the new spool...

anyone? I would like to use the battery holders and the strap, but the battery doesn't sit low enough to get the strap over it.

You really dont need the battery holders, I've run them without them. Tape is way easier if you're just running lipo. No need to take a lipo out to charge them.

Just noticed this last nite while "discharging" my lipo:

I had the car up in the air and had it going full throttle. I turned the steering left and right to full lock. At about 90% to full lock, it seemed like the front dogbones/cvds started chattering. Im running the car 100% stock with a diff up front.

Has anyone had this problem also? Any solutions?

If anyone is waiting for their spools or alum diff outdrives to come from tower hobbies they will have to wait another month. Tower is now saying late sept. Anyone know why the release of these items are taking so long? AE, 51, Can you give us an update?

It's not really a problem, just a limitation of the CVD's. Even the best CVD's can't handle extended use at extreme angles. On any race car, real or RC, the maximum amount of steering is usually limited to prevent over steering. I have my TC5's steering set to about 75% EPA (End-Point-Adjustment). Most good controllers have this adjustment available. This will prevent undo stress and unneeded movement of the steering servo.

Yea, your not suppose to discharge lipos but I charged up the lipo last week to do a little setup testing and then I got hammered with work right before the long weekend. I went out of town for the long weekend and realized that my lipo was still at full charge, not really good when storing it for a period of time, so I just discharged it when I came back from vacation (both using the car and testing out my new checkpoint charger).

I am curious as to where people are buying their #2 shock pistons? Unless everyone is just running TC4 pistons... I do not have a LHS... Also a part number would be highly appreciated.

I see that there is a front one-way and a one way hub with bearings...I havent found pics for them, but is the one way hub with bearings (ASC31177) the hub where the 2 pulleys meet next to the spur?
