You might check the TC4 thread on this forum, or go to Associated site. They have some set-up sheets for the TC4.

Thanks for all you help and talking me down after dealing with the manual..
I took your recommend setup, we made a few changes and if this car was in the hands of good driver, it would have been a race for the Gold... But I'm new, old and not as good as others, but working on it every day... I agree, the real thing is how a car works in normal hands....

I just ordered the LRP sphere comp ESC and the Vector 13.5 today for the TC5. The 13.5 is on backorder. I see the sintered rotor is an option and haven't ordered it yet. I wanted to know what real differences I'd see, and if running the 13.5 non sintered would make much difference on a smaller track like SIR or not.

Any other gearing S/U advise is welcomed! TIA.

Default 13.5 gearing

Hey guys,
Anyone have a suggest gear ratio for a 13.5 ss with 59mm tires on a 90'x45' track laid out like the 2006 IIC track.

I thought that I read a couple pages back to gear somewhere in the 5.1-5.8fdr range. Does that sound right?

Are the metal outdrives going to accept the CVA blades that just came out?

Yes, they were designed for the aluminum outdrives that should be available very soon.

I have heard of fdr's down in the 4.5 range!

Just a heads up, for you guys going to run the Aluminum Out drives in the TC5, you will also need the CVA Blades #31238, cost is $3.99 for 8 and you should keep and eye on them at they are wearing part and have to be replaced every so often.
