something around a 114 to 116 tooth should be fine...

for brushless users or even 19T that need a larger pinion, a 112 spur makes it easier to increase pinion size without the motor running into electronics. Haven't tried a 110 but it may work too. The RW spurs are direct fit and come in 2 teeth increments.

I hoped on the tir site and didnt see any info on a tc5 spool. If anyone has any more info on the associated spools and or other brands who are making spools for the tc5 any info would be great.

for give me for being blonde.....but Brent....when you told me to place on o-rings on the top deck how exactly should they go on? The screws on the top look to fit into the counter sunk holes so would I still place an o-ring and then the screw?

Next Saturday should be fun.

You need 6mm screws, #4 washers and o-rings. Tighten just so the o-rings begin to compress.

I will not be racing the 1/8th Nats, but will be racing the Paved Nats.

Why?
perhaps symmetrical chassis flex? if the bulkhead is fastened to the motor plate, and the motor plate is also screwed into the chassis, than the chassis will not have symmetrical flex. but leaving that screw out would mean the top deck is attached exactly the same left to right.

that's something about the yokomo BD that i never quite understood, the top deck wasn't even close to symmetrical.

pics of my TC5 with unusual Lola body....

I used this setup: http://www.rc10.com/racerhub/setup/r...yrace_2007.pdf

BUT with no spool (stock front diff) and NO sway-bars....
tires: foam grp 35 shore whole front and rear
spur: 87 pinion: 20
motor: nosram storm 4.5T
esc: nosram matrix evolution IS TC

Really good performing car, the only problem I got was a melted rear diff after 4th run........ although it was 1/8 turn tigthened
however I've fixed it, now by putting Schumacher Silicone grease..... crossing fingers....

Brent

Since there seems to be an apparent problem with the diffs melting, is Associated working on a new improved diff for the TC5?

If they are, are people that own the TC5 going to get replacements?

Charlie
