Default I knew someone would do the one belted cf chassis.

I thought Losi would but I guess they keep hanging on to the JRX-S. I will say for me to buy one will mean AE has redesign everything. Just some being the diffs, shocks, stronger suspension parts, and bigger wheel bearings. That's just the start of it. If only these companies would listen to me from the start, they could have saved themselves a ton of money.

I disagree, this is the time to give them ideas. Associated makes cars for us. I am the customer. Also, I would like to see Associated continue to do well. My idea of them doing well is to see them producing high quality kits not Radio Shack RTR's (RC18T).

I dont think the team associated guys really care about pricing. They want to deliver a good product that can beat the other cars but keep the price reasonable at the same time. They even said that it is going to be a racing machine, not a RTR.

What'd really be nice is that a manufacture would come out with a car that, can be left alone....no extra chassis, no special mod's, I mean the thing would go, and win races, on good driving, and proper set-up........ahahahahahah ya like that'll happen.

Default It's called a T2.

It's to bad Xray has the pat pending on the mutiflex chassis. Make fun of it all you want, it was the best idea I've see in a few years. It's amazing it took so long. I guess AE could use stand offs in the same way. I mentioned this a long time ago in the Losi threads. Sorry, but I just can't see AE going all out in every detail. It's an expense. Axle pins and shock mounting also come to mind. Then just get a Lipo to fit.

Just one little thing....XRAY didn't invent the adjustable flex chassis, YOKOMO did, several years ago. They can patent it all they want, but it doesn't change the fact that Yokomo did it with the YR4-M2 chassis back in the late '90's(you sinply needed to add or remove little standoffs to or from it to adjust its stiffness, much like AE did with the FT TC4, which if I'm right, AE put out BEFORE XRay did the T2, lol)....

Key word there being pending. This could mean they have begun the patent process (long, painful, expensive). Or they may never have done it and are just hoping that claiming the patent is pending that others will shy away from the technology that they claim to have discovered.

Yok YR4's were the bomb back in the day

It also had an adjustable shock-like mount on the top deck by the rear bulkhead. I clearly remeber that kit as 20 minutes into building it I broke a diff-bolt tightening up a diff-lol.

Actually AE and Delta had versions of multiflex chassiss before the T-bar cars came out, when they used to run the keyhole cutout chassis. And there was a overseas car called a ABC that had full suspension 12th scale that used a version of multiflex chassis tuning. Of course it wasn't like the spline plate, or the X-ray version, but still was a way of adjusting and controlling how much flex the chassis would give. I even think Corrally used a way of controlling how much flex was allowed on the t-bar itself, by changing the pivot point. In any matter its been done before just not as refined. This was all back in the 70's and early 80's.
