On the topic of burning diffs out one of the team guys stopped me on Sunday morning and asked me if anyone had told me to put a couple drops of glue on the outdrives to hold the D ring.

Its been posted several times that there is only going to be 1 kit. The one that is currently released will be it. No Team version or Asphalt kit.

I am not 100% sure but I would think CML who is the distributor for AE in the UK should be able to help you out.

Hey guys, I've been reading this thread for quite some time and I thought I'd start chiming in.

I haven't run my TC5 yet, but I can't wait to see how it does.

I've noticed that the the diff pulleys have a slight wobble to them. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Hey Brent.... when are you guys going to put your race report from the Reedy on the AE website? See you at Mod Nats this week.

Yes, there is sum wobble to the diff. This will be exaggerated if the diff is too loose.

I have the write-up ready, just waiting for the pics to get in to the proper hands.

Hey Knight Rider,

It's Lex Tyler from the BAY AREA. I havent ran a money 19t but I tried an FDR of 7.4 on a 120ft straight with a Komodo and ran super fast. If you were to run a a 4300 or 10.5 try running an FDR of 5.1 it ran great for me this past weekend at NORCAL Hobbies. I won and did the fastest overall laptime.

BTW I switched to a 74 tooth spur. Normally I run mod but do to lack of attendance I was forced to run 19.

Good Luck

5.4 with the silver brushes. I don't know what I would gear the copper colored brushes. This would be at NorCal. I haven't run the Money in quite a while there...

Another way to go about doing this is to post this exact question on the Checkpoint thread or the team Br00d thread or any other tuner that sells the motor. Be as specific as possible. Then when you get your answer then go plug that info into the TC5 gear ratio info. That's what I would do. I figure they have the most experience possible with the product. I do know that this motor likes big pinions.

That is true.... however they do not have experience with this car and how it reacts. But a good suggetion nontheless.

All of the above items will turn the TC5 into a 'weapon' on asphalt with rubber tires. The most important items are the chassis/topdeck and spool.

Hope this helps,

Guess this means gold front blue rear?

those are the accessories you may need... i would add a pair of silvers to that list as the baseline setups for asphalt usually start at gold/silver or blue/silver...

thats a picture of Juho's car at LRP I think. They didnt have spares for the cars so he had to put on tc4 parts. And since the tc5 is metric he had to replace a bunch of stuff in order for the tc4 parts to fit.
