Here are pics from the LRP TCM 2007 winner car TC5 from Juho Levšnen:

I think it's not clear if the kit comes with a 2,5mm or 2mm chassis.
Maybe two kits or one chassis to buy extra! Official announcement?
Craig Drescher tell's me in the TCM chat, that it will be the 2mm chassis, but I'm not sure that right! If two kits came out, please post the two diffrent item number, thank's.

Man, he looks pretty stoked. Quietly confident, but behind the eyes I think I see a fire burning. It's the same fire that's burning in the hearts and finger tips of AE fans worldwide.

Ok if there is going to be a TC5 FT version with a spool in tarmac spec which is far better for us racers in the UK it looks like i will be waiting a short while for that to hit the shelves.

The car is going to be an FT TC5, with 2 diffs, 2.5mm chassis... the ITF chassis components, spool, and one-way will be option parts...

What parts would be needed to be improved on this car for there to be a factory team edition ?

I had just heard a rubber tire version might be offered during the summer for guys who dont race foam tires.

Default Tc5 Build

Hi all,

I thought I would chime in on the build of the Factory Team TC5.
The directions are strait foward and easy to follow. Everything is well machined and well fitted.
After running last weekend on carpet with foam tires the plastic diffs feel great. There is no wear in the diff halfs what so ever. Everything held up great.

To anwser a few of the questions---

It comes ready for foam tire carpet- 2.5 mm chassis and top deck, 2 diffs, and sway bars. You will love the sway bar mounts. There are 3 different size caps (or mounts) for the 3 different size bars. Simpily put the bar on with the numbered mount to match and tighten down. They attach to the arm the same way they did on the Tc4.

Brent or Coach,

Can you find out if the car is more balanced running the receiver on the right side of the car with 5 cells. Also did have a PT and was it stuffed in the bumper?

One more question for you guys.... Because the car is coming with 2.5 mm chassis and top deck would you need the ITF Chassis to start racing rubber tires on Asphalt?? What chassis has Rick been running at SoCal?

Walter,

How was the Gate?

Again a big congradulation to Juho Levšnen and Team Associated on their Victory over the weekend

Default LiPo

Does anybody know if a LiPo pack will work in a TC5. I know it will fit in the battery tray but can you get the connectors pluged in. It looks like the top deck may interfear. I currently have 3200 LiPo's but would consider switching to 4800's if necessary.

Thanks

I am almost 100% positive that Rick Howart has posted that any of the Orion/Peak lipos will fit with no modifications at all.

Congrats to Juho on his dominating performance at the LRP race and to AE for having 3 cars in the main!!

For those wondering about the Stock Invite at the Gate this weekend Me and Walter both had cars capable of being in the A main but ran out of talent when it counted . The car was very easy to drive but needed just a little more rotation from the rear end. Looking back I wish I would have ran rear tires on the front and this would probably have gave me the little more I needed. Overall I was very happy with how the car performed with very little time on it so far. Looking forward to some asphalt racing and next carpet season!!

Oh and for those wondering about weight with foam tires. I had to add 62 grams to make the min weight with foam tires. I run a Futaba 9550 servo, Futaba 2.4 receiver and Novak GTX speedo. Also had 28mm tires. So it is VERY light!!

I'm jealous of the included sway bars. I have to shell out a boat load of cash to equip my 007s with them, and so far I've decided to sacrifice performance due to that. It's competition like this that'll make me change my signature to simply "happy with..."
