After a full day of practice and going into the first rounds of qualifying tomorrow morning Brian Jucha had the 6th best run in 19t today and Rick Hohwart Had the 9th best run in Mod. Timmy Heiser who was just of juch'a time in 19t wasnt able to have a top 10 run today so it looks like 19t is very tight.

Good Luck to Brian Jucha and Timmy Heiser both are local guys in my area and havent had to much time on the tc5 other than the novak race for both and they are doing well. So keep it up

Looks like Tim Heiser made the A main for team A in 19t touring.

Are there others that are in the A I do not recognize?

Sit tight and wait is about the only option. The Associated website still shows April for a release. I am sure that if it changes they will update their website.

After returning from the Carpet Nats, I headed directly to the Cactus Classis so this is my first chance to give some results and feedback.

The TC5 handled well in the hands of Timmy Heiser. He was in the A-main in 19T and showed that the car was capable of turning lap times equal to the fastest cars and drivers.

My experience was not as good I am afraid. I began with my Snowbirds setup and I ws on the pace immediately. Unfortunately as the grip improved, my lap times began to slow about 2/10ths per lap and I was never able to regain my practice pace during qualifying. I was unable to cope with the increaed grip and never freed the rear of the car enough to maximize corner speeds.

I ended up qualifying 5th in the B-main and broke while running third.

This is the last foam race for a while so now we can concentrate on rubber tire racing where I and many of the other team drivers have more experience.

Rick,

It was nice finally meeting you at Nats and checking out your car. How about a pic of the car and body from Nats... I need it for the website if possible.

Josh's place is insane when the bite comes up. I had emailed and warned Brent. But unfortunately that didn't help you.

Later,
Kris

Yea Rick unfortunately I think a lot of guys had that same problem with the track. The traction there was higher than anywhere I had ever raced!! Hard to deal with that if you dont get to race on that very often!

It was nice to meet you too. And thanks for all the hard work you put in for me. The bodies are always perfect and look awesome!

I was warned by Walt and Brent about the grip. But the whole tire thing is very complicated for me, especially since I race as a privateer when it comes to tires. With standards, wraps, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm (and now everything in between!), it is a bit overwhelming. I can only wonder what someone with NO experience must think..lol
