The new car runs good and is only a prototype from what I can see. They are one off cars that were made to test stuff. The shafts might be gone forever. You guys dont really want a pic of the car. It is really really pre pre production. The only thing that is similar with the car is that the car has two belts and four wheels.

Yes, in the last main Barry was out in front for EVER....and held off Hara (By half a track)who was in second for most of the race...HARA(being HEAVILY pushed by 3rd place) cought up to Barry and Barry LET 2nd and 3rd pass him on purpose. They(2nd , 3rd) later crashed within the same lap and Barry took off(as he was right there sniffing 3rd, you could have thrown a pillowcase over all three cars), never looking back to win. Craig's car was dialed too. This car is going to be fast kids..Oh yes! TC5 would be a cleaner name. I'm sure the Area 51 team will figure it out.

RAL,

Thanks for the info, I am hoping the car will be out by the winter. I would rather be on rubber tires and asphalt but in the NE foam and carpet rule the winter.

TC5 is cleaner but being a belt car they may change it up a bit.

MX-51/Brent T.

Were you running the new car or your FT TC4????

Thanks

Someone who seemed to be from AE posted this in reply to complaints about the TC4 on the Associated TC4 thread:

Quote:
"NONE of AE's design team has left the company. In fact, we've added a few more. And yes, we are working on new stuff. And yes, it DOES take some time to get stuff out only because we ARE AE. It needs to be the best it can be before it is produced. (flame suit on). The TC4 was a, ummm, problem child from the beginning (even in the TC3 days). We did the best we could with what we had.

The basic 'problem' is this. Back in the TC3 days there were only a few car cars that were good...the TC3 just happened to be good enough to win. Now everyone else has stepped up and created purpose-built racers...not RTR/Race cars. The TC4, unfortunatley, was designed as a RTR/Race car....compromising a full blown race car to fit the RTR needs. We understand, in this now full-blown-race-car-world, that that is not the way we need to do business. Things will change.

On your other note, drivers have left. In most business', you have your up times and your down times. In the on-road division, this is our down time....but the drivers won't/can't stand being in that position, so they leave. Good thing and bad thing, IMO. We'll be in the up time again...."
Although its not completely relevant, it does suggest that Associated are keen not to make the same mistakes as last time. I guess from the statements about the way they went about the TC4, that we can expect more from the new car. I hope so...just a pity I've bought the old one...

Yes I too saw Barry pull over, he let Hara and Reinhart pass. It was a VERY class move. The AE belt car looked very fast all weekend long.
