Default If I get a faster motor do I need to change Pinon?

Right now I have my Spur/Pinon setup really good. I was going to pick up the Team Orion Element V2 19T Modified , and this would be my first 19T (coming from stock). I have a T2 with the 84/48 Spur and Im using a 22 Pinon.

Would I have to change that up? What pinon should I go with my 84T/48P? What would be a good starting point?

Thanks, Mike.

Yes, you will need to change the pinion. Depending on the size of your track and how technical it is, you will have to adjust accordingly. If you know anyone else at your track that has the same car - with the same, or simular motor, ask them where they are geared at. What stock motor are you running?

To get some advice on here, you are going to have to include the size of your track (how long is the longest straight), and how techical it is ... plus, are you running foam or rubber tires?

Gear heavy eh? What do you mean by "Strange" motor?

Well I turned over to a 18 Pinion and it was under geared, so I moved up to a 19, then a 20. The 20 seems good for now, we will see how it goes.

My track is Carpet (Med Ozite), currently very technical, and the car seems to do good, but next week there going to change the track so I will have to find the right gearing for it.

Really? 25...

Won't that be a little hot for the motor? Also what is a good temp for this motor to run at?

I guess I can go head to a 23, then up from there.

you want to gear a V2 under 6 if you're racing indoors.
