Hi
If anyone can help me out my new shoe's Ft TC4 has the IIC setup on it and
and the car rips through every corner but its way twitchy , Ive turned down my steering but still a ton of steering . anyone have a second opinion or set up (Recent one) like the Snowbirds race setup from 2006 ???
I'm thinking playing with the springs heavier in front might take a bit out the front but being a new ride I have to learn how to drive again and figure this rocket out and get it dialed so I can get back to top of the B'S and into the A's again .

I just got my FT TC4 and I used set up number one. I seem to need more steering with this set up it mite be better for you. The car is great but Im going to get the xray T2.

Apart from going to stiffer springs, you could try fitting an anti-roll bar and/or 4 degree blocks on the front.

Theres a couple of things you can do, try putting some kickup on the front suspension. On the TC4 you want about 2 degrees,running it on 0 will make the car quite aggressive. Also you can increase the castor to 4 degrees.
Also take a look at the roll centre spacers, try lowering it.

Best solution for removing twitchiness out of the front end I have found is to go to heavier oil in the front as well as removing front droop (picking the arms up more/ turning the screw clockwise to clear it up). This will make the front end react slower and remove that twitchiness feel. Stiffening the front end (stiffer springs, heavier roll bar, higher roll center) would not really diminish the twitchiness as much, for it would make the car have more exit steering and might make it bouncy, if the damping is not increased. Twitchiness (oversensitivity in the steering) Is usually caused by underdamping or too much suspension stroke in the front end.

I just ran my new car at a club race in mod and it handled great. The setup i used was

front
Yellow springs
70 wt oil
number 3 piston
standard block with 1 shim front and rear
droop 4 mm
inner hole in the arm
second hole from the inner one on shock tower
no shim for the steering rack

Rear
Blue springs
40 wt
number 2 piston
2.5 degree toe in
Droop 2 mm
outer hole in the arm
second hole from the top on the shock tower

this setup was for Mod foam. I was also using Speedmind tires and parma alfa Body
