Grilfriend of 7 yrs said " ENOUGH!!! " after our day club race was rained out and we loaded up to drive 2 hours to make an indoor race in Memphis. This was instead of taking her out to eat and then to a ball game with a large group of our friends. LOL
1st fiancee gave back the ring after she decided that I "would never grow up and stop playing with toys", and "would probably be delivering pizza for the rest of my life!". Ah.......she was half right!!
The next girlfriend came to the track on race nights and hung out and read books while I raced. Then invited my buddies over to her apartment after the races for BS sessions. She also went to the 94' NORRCA offroad nats with me in OK City. She then told me to go get glasses because it would let me drive better! (she was correct) On my birthday during the first year we were dating, she surprised me with a RPM dual ended wrench and RPM Losi shock changing tools, plus, her family pitched in together and gave my the Plano pit box I was wanting!!!! Lets just say she and I have been married for 11 yrs!!!! And she still supports my addiction to RC.

I think I speak for everyone when I ask: "Does she have a sister?"

Pookyt- Your wife sounds a lot like mine. She doesn't like to come to races too often but she'll stop by now and then. She has no problem with getting me whatever RC stuff I ask for when it comes to Christmas etc... She's even driving out one the Friday during the Vegas race this year to come see me race. I'm a lucky man.

"You know you're addicted to R/C when..." Your friend asks what kind of printer you have and you tell him "HPI"...

Elvo--LMAO....No she is an only child.
Jon--Good to hear that buddy! Hope to meet her in Vegas!

you might be addicted... if one of your walls is splattered with solder, when you fling it off your iron!

When you're visiting in-laws in Michigan and you talk your brother-in-law to come with you to Indiana just to watch the world champs from day 1 of practice to the final race.
When you finally stop and think that all the money you spent you could have sent your kids to Stanford and then say to yourself "Oh well, there's a community college just two miles away".
When you're on vacation and the first thing you do in the hotel room is to pick up the yellow pages and see where all the rc shops are. (no lie).
When you are at work, looking at a forklift and thinking it's not turning to the left as well as to the right and you need to adjust the tie-rods.
