That means the NEG & POS are switched, so if you have any sort of equipment that can run motors, (Like a MM motor master, CE Turbo35, Duratrax Ice, etc.) you hook black to red, and red to black....

please can you tell me your secret in getting 23 200 rpm out of a silver can Johnson motor. Best results I get is about 18 000 rpm at 7V.

TJ motor???
Just a very old, very well broken in, very well maintained four hole motor. What I call a 'Genetic Mutant'. Buy enough of them and you eventually come across one or two. Properly cared for, they will last for several seasons.
Unfortunately, that particular little monster turned its final wheel at Aliso in July last year Troy may remember the armature because I brought it over to show him- it was the one with two black roasty sections on it and the copper peeling off of the comm. Sad.
