Default T.O.P. Tyres/Inserts

Hey Guys,

At my local hobby store here in Australia, we've just got in some T.O.P. Tyres and inserts and I was just wondering if anybody had any information on them at all? The type that I got are NoMark V32s (NM-014V32) with some inserts which I can't remember exactly the name.

Has anyone got any information on this brand of tyre with info about track temperature, track condition, etc, as well as what their findings have been with these tyres??

On their website, its very limited and by the sounds of it, they are good for Med-High bite asphalt racing (my tyres in particular) but thats the only information I can find on them.

Any information would be helpful. I will be trying them out soon and I am curious to see how they go.

Vincent from TOP was a great guy at the TITC ang gave me a number of different tires to try, i will post my results after i get a chance. They are still developing their tire, and have a lot of good ideas im sure they will become a tire to be reckoned with.

L series is for p-lot racing. L10s or L20s work well with med inserts.
H series is for permanent asphalt tracks. H10s and H20s work well with soft, thin, or medium inserts.
Don't know about V32s.
Long wearing tires.
Philip from Kenon hobbies has the info..if he sees this...

I believe that the V-series is the same as the H-series, because if you have a look at the site in both english, then in Japanese, there are different part numbers for what look like the same tyres when translated. A bit confusing for sure, but I'd particularly be keen to find out about the temperature band that the tyres should be used in.

Oh okay, cool. I look forward to trying them out. I'll be sure to post here how they perform in the harsher conditions that we have here in Australia then what they were initially designed for (so I've been told - very smooth asphalt like in Asia).

If the track is not smooth asphalt , I think you should try TOP 30 V1/30 V2

Oh okay, I've been told that by someone else actually.

From the sounds of their website these are the compounds (japanese site):

プラスシリーズ (トラック状態 - 低/中いグリッ
NM-014110 NoMark Plus 10
NM-014130 NoMark Plus 30
NM-024130 NoMark Plus 30 V2

Then on the English section, these are the listed compounds:

L-SERIES (FOR LOW TO MED TRACTION ASPHALT TRACKS OR STREET RACING)
NMUS-014L10 NoMark L10 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)
NMUS-014L20 NoMark L20 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)
NMUS-014L30 NoMark L30 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)

H-SERIES (FOR MED TO HIGH TRACTION ASPHALT)
NMUS-014H20 NoMark H20 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)
NMUS-014H30 NoMark H30 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs) UNDER DEVELOPMENT
NMUS-014H40 NoMark H40 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)

C-SERIES (FOR CARPET TRACKS OR OILY TRACKS)
NMUS-014C10 NoMark C10 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)
NMUS-014C20 NoMark C20 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)
NMUS-014C30 NoMark C30 10th Scale Touring Car Slick Tires (4 pcs)

Are these all the same tyres, just with different part numbers, etc?? Very confusing really...

I think they are the same

低/中 means LOW TO MED

中/高 means MED TO HIGH

UNDER DEVELOPMENT

hey simon,
Zenkins got some of the top tyres sent over a while ago (maybe 6mounths to a year) and hau myself and zenkins used the hot 32's and the cooler weather compound. They work very well, felt very similar to sorex when new but didnt seem to hold there grip after a club day or two.

I have tried all the TOP tyres, except for the H30

from my testing in Sydney

the H40 works best at Windsor indoor track (painted grit concrete)

the L20/L30 worked best at eastern creek and moorebank (asphalt)

the c series did work ok. but the wear was huge.

Hey Guys,

I ran my TOP NoMark V32s for the first time tonight at a club meet at Boronia and the car worked very well with them actually. The rear of the car was really really hooked up, a little too well though. I had quite a lot of understeer compared to normal so they certainly behaved differently, but the wear rate is pretty good on them. With some setup changes, they worked quite nicely, albeit with a bit of a push still. Got 3/3 wins with them so can't complain too much.

Looking forward to seeing what they are like after a few more club meets and seeing how long they last.
