Now you see why I recommend Novak.

That's what I call excellent service.

Well done Charlie and well done all at Novak.

Not all brand new packs false peak. When I made a custom profile for the NiMH, none of them false peaked. All my batteries come straight from the matcher, from his hand into mine, so I know for a fact they haven't been sitting on a shelf for weeks. Anyway, the only time I've had problems charging any batteries has been brand new 6 cell battery packs at 2+ amps using the NiMH2 mode on my Millenium Pro (v1.03 software). I can charge receiver packs perfectly fine on the NiMH2 profile, but it just doesn't wanna do the 6 cells. Oh well, I'll just continue using my custom profile. Thanks for the info though, it's much appreciated.

JohnBull - I charge and peak @ 5 amps for stock, and then I charge 4 amps for mod and peak @ 5 amps.

Aeon- That's somewhat strange. Even in the regular threshold mode almost all my new packs false peak. Now we typically test off the shelf packs so they probably sit around longer than your directly purchased packs. I can see where that would make a difference. I would recommend trying the NiMH2 mode again. Even if they false peak the first few charges they will take charge properly eventually. Even the smallest voltage threshold setting is still overcharging the battery packs slightly. In the end its entirely up to you but I just wanted to clarify a little more.

John Bull- I saw your picture on the RCZone! Nice Shirt!!! Thanks again!
