Default why so fast only 4CELLs?

I ween them 12th scales before and always assume they had 9cells to go that fast
but they only run 4cells!
i got 6 aa 2000nimh in my micro and its no wehere near as fast :/

That's because they have an insane power to weight ratio. Low turn motor and nearly no weight other than the batteries and motor itself.

With the new cells the car is more the limiting factor than the motor/batteries. Weight is a big issue but the new cells deliver so much power (voltage and current) that 4 cell is pretty fast.

6 cell would be faster on the straight but probably not on the infield because of the weight.

I made a motor plate for my micro rs4 just to see what its all about
and WoW with a stock 540 motor in it and 4 sanyo 2400 nicd i had from when i first started rc few years ago
this thing is faaast
almost like them rc18t i see at local track running mamba compX
willl post result if it ever make it to the track
think i may have an accident before get this on the track, and with the 540 in it theres no room to mount rear body post or SHOCKs
