Default TC chassis empty weights

Just trying to compile a list of empty weights of various cars for comparison purposes. No electronics/wheels/shell but everything else. This list may come in handy if you already have a set of electronics and want to choose a chassis that will come close to the min weight for your chosen class.

So far:
  • Xray T4 '19 (standard carbon kit): 471g
  • Xray T1 FK-05 (2mm LzR carbon chassis): 534g
  • Xray T4'14 (2.2mm carbon chassis): 510g
  • Yokomo BD9 (standard carbon kit): 513g
  • 3racing Sakura Advance 2k18 evo (standard carbon 2.25 chassis all steel screws): 550g
  • 3racing XI SPORT NU: 551g
  • Associated TC 7.2 Factory Team (standard carbon chassis): 508g
  • Associated TC4 RTR (moulded plastic tub): 635g
  • Associated TC4 'Bert' (graphite tub): 552g
  • Associated TC6.1: somewhere between around 530 and 550g*
  • Associated TC5R: 525g
  • Awesomatix A800X Evo (2.2mm carbon): 438g
  • Awesomatix A800 MMCX (2.2mm carbon): 450g
  • Awesomatix A700L (3.0mm carbon chassis): 485g
  • Awesomatix A700L (2.25mm carbon chassis): 460g
  • Awesomatix A800: 453g
  • Tamiya TRF419XR (carbon chassis with Al-Ti screw set): 496g
  • Tamiya TA-07 (PSM carbon chassis/eagle bulkheads): 522g
  • Tamiya TA-07MS (carbon chassis)/aluminium transmission & screw set): 540g
  • Tamiya TB Evo 7 (alloy chassis): 650g
  • Tamiya F103GT: 365g
  • Xpress XQ1 (Aluminium chassis): 534g
  • Xpress XQ1S (FRP chassis) (with DCJ and ARB): 567g
  • VBC D10: 523g
  • MST TCR: 342g
  • Schumacher Mi4 CXL: 549g
  • HB TCXX: 511g
  • BSR BT4: 530g
  • Blaze R2: 548g

Please add any you know! -thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.

Please don't forget to specify material (carbon, alloy) and version of the lower deck. It affects on the total weight noticeably.

Absolutely. Do you have weights for the various awesomatix chassis Oleg?

If anyone has a roller chassis of any type lying around and a set of scales please contribute, I'm struggling to find accurate info online.

Associated TC 7.2 Factory Team (standard carbon chassis) = 508g (weight from tower hobbies website)

I don't have any assembled car with me at the moment but my CAD data show 473g with the 35 g steel ST135 chassis stiffener for kit's A800X EVO with 2,2mm carbon chassis. So 438 g without stiffener. Note the alloy spool and alloy diff, both with steel outdrives on the car at thus.

Xpress xq1s club racer. Plastic components and fiber glass chassis. Full length body post, double jointed front axles, front and rear sway bars with x ray xtra stiff servo saver with no wheels weights 567 grams. No idea how much the x ray servo saver weight. Without it might put it more inline with the sakura advance Evo 2k18

List updated, thanks for the data. Interesting to see the huge difference between certain chassis.
With the new 1320g weight limit you're going to need a chassis that's no more than about 530g to come close to the limit when loaded up with a 6400 battery, and that's with no ballast!

Seems like 550grams is the norm for the lower cost chassis. I honestly thought they would be lighter given they use more plastic vs machined alloy components
