I'm not sure about the QC but the QC2 is a lot better than the V7.1, I imagine the QC would still be alot better than the V7.1. Both are fairly old speedies, the QC3 would be even better.

The main difference between the v7.1 and the QC1 is size. Also, you can change the wires on the quantums. Little lower on resistance but it's menial. Both have no motor limit, but the v7.1 uses a rather smallish 14ga wire. Difference between the QC1 and QC2 is that the QC2 is completely water proof. They have a vid on their site of a guy driving a touring car on the deck of a pool. He jumps it into the pool, drives it around on the bottom for a bit, then they set it on the deck of the pool again and he drives away. Neat feature but mainly for racing in Europe. They race in torrential downpours where as here in the states, we're afraid to get our cars wet...

the compleatly water proof thingy is a farse!!!!! they claim it water proof but it's not.. more like water resistant, like misting But you are correct the size is a major differance
