Default springs.

I am changing the spring in my orion V2 element from the soft ones it came with to hard ones, as I was advised by a couple of you guys to do this. I have never changed springs or brushes, is there anything I should watch out for. or just unsolder the ends, take out the brushes, swap the sprigs and put the brushes back. I dont want to break it just checking there isn't anything bad that can happen if I.....
