If one of the wires was red this would not be a problem.....

Both wires are black....
On the TOP website it has the red wire on the outside so I assume this is the positive...

I would say use teh left hand side as Positive but if the cap is coming with both black wires i can assume that teh cap is bipolar so it wouldnt matter.

I always drove with a one way but last race i wanted to try a spool.
I drove in the race with the steel spool and the car was good but it didn't feel like it was going smooth.
After the races i got my new spool. the new one.
That spool is great. it feels more like a one way and it drives great.
No steel spool for me any more.

I hope that this spool will also be on the new car.

All of the super caps we have here at TOP USA have two black wires, one with a piece of red shrink around it to designate the positive wire. The wires are oriented with the negative on the outside and the positive to the inside.

The capacitors are polarized and should NOT be connected randomly.

Nova F1, either the red shrink fell off of yours or it was a manufacturing error. The pic on the website is of an early production or prototype part, all the caps we have recieved are as described above. In any event you can return to us for replacement if you wish

I went with the photo ( yes, the red shrinkwrap fell off in the package) so I ended up putting in in backwards.... And poof... It has since been thrown away... I would hope they would change 1 wire or clearly mark the positive/negative in the future...

Well the time is passing slowly...

Any update on the progress of the "Photon"...???

I hear pics are due in March, which is only a matter of days away, how are things travelling???

I noticed the new Lipo friendly bottom deck for the existing Scythe chassis, which looks good, so SOMETHING is happening over at R&D!

Cheers

Robbie

Is there a lipo tray available for the Scythe? Also will an SMC 5000mah hard-case lipo fit in the car?

Thanks!

I was lucky enough to see the new car during the Grand Slam series at The Track in Gaithersburg, MD. The car definitely looks really awesome.

the top deck looks like something out of an Xray foam car. I wish I took some pictures of it. But the car does look pretty radical to say the least. Josh is doing a great job with his work.
