well i am back home from the indoor champs in cleveland. first i would like to say very nice job to the crew of the indoor champs and to Mr. bill for putting on a great race.
the first day my car was good from the get go but traction came up quick with the new HD carpet from CRC. i found my car scrubbing too much speed into the corners. second day of practice i had changed a bunch of stuff on the car and found myself back on pace. i tried a different compound tire that made the car push too much for me, so i went back to my original tires (parma magentas) after this i didnt touch my car for the rest of the race, just checked camber ride height and droop after every round. the TOP CFP car worked flawless no my driving had to match because eli and hanes are very fast guys always making mains. qualifying was going to come down to the final round. after the first day of qualifying i had TQ honors but i knew that my competion was going to come out strong and strong they did. the third round mike hanes and eli go under the TQ time i had set the first day with hanes taking the TQ honors for the third round of qualifying. this means that everything comes down to the fourth round, i knew i had to give it everything i had and so did eli and hanes. the outcome was eli as TQ me in second and hanes in third. time for the main my game plan was to stick to eli like glue and hope he might make a mistake, but eli is not known for making mistakes. but an unfortunate shock eyelett braking took him out of the race and moved me to the front. the next four and a half minutes i was trying to keep my straight away lead on hanes and finish the race.
i also qualified 7th in 13.5 foam but finished tenth due to some misfortunate happenings in the race i did have the third fastest lap in the main car was awesome.
