How have you found the Split top deck???

A few local guys here have commented that it makes the car push more???

Why the carbon motor brace???...

Cheers

I don't know if Nova made those parts himself or got them somewhere but they look a lot like the parts that were sold in the UK by RC Drifting.

The offset side plate is for better access to the pinion.

I did buy this used Scythe from England on EBay and these were on the car.
It did push but I put more bite in the front end and that took care of it. I run rubber tire classes so the set-up is stable and I was surprised that after taking a couple of hits the car was not tweaked. I figured out that using the aluminum bulkheads, covers and motor pod also had a lot to do with the car not tweaked after a good bang.

It makes it easy to change out pinion and spur with the 3 piece upper deck.

Is RC Drifting out of busuness?

Tried a 59!Did NOT fit.Went up to 88/50,car seemed soft.49 had a bit more punch.I have heard the 17.5 and 13.5's can be geared similar.Running on a rather small track too.Check out www.marshallshilltophobbies.com,couple pics online.M

Drove this saterday and sunday with my Top Scythe indoor.
It went great. The car feld good even on old tiers.
After some changes the car went better and better.
I'm going to change some smal things to make my car faster on new tiers.
I think that i will put the allu motormount back.
On new tiers i have more grip. I'm going to try it this saterday or next week.

I'm now a lot faster with the TOP than i was with the Xray FK05.
Only i think that the Xray can go faster than it did because the shocks were not ok anymore.

9-11-2008 race 2 from the Fundrive
16-11-2008 Viol cup 2. Both i will race and i hope that i can reach the A final by the Fundrive and the B final by Viol.
Than i'm happy.

Greetings Emiel

I ran this past weekend at the Florida state race in 17.5. I ran a Hacker 17.5 and geared it at a 3.78. I ran an 80/46. The internal ratio of this car is not exactly 2.18 so how I calculate it is 37/17*spur/pinion=actual ratio. I believe that is about the smallest combo you can have as the motor is all the way forward. Im going to put a 90 on there s I can run 17.5 and 10.5 on the same spur....
