Thanks sosidge,

Whereabouts can i buy those pistons from???... they fit the yokomo shocks then i assume.

In a race a while back i was struggling for grip entirely, once the car handled well it just didnt seem to go anywhere, through the corners it still skated and just didnt get power down, and i struggled to overcome it. Any ideas there???...

Perhaps my droop was out... as you say?

This has been running a spool however. with 5.25 springs all around from memory.

Cheers, thankyou for your help once again.

Robbie

For the shock we jst drill out teh pistons to 1.2mm or 1.3mm and use 35wt - 45wt oil and it feels great.
Unusual for you have lack of steering, with teh oneway it turns on a dime with the spool you get initial understeer but great steering out of corners.
I actually run my dual rate down to 45%.
Like Sosidge mentioned check droop or ride height.

Thanks guys.

How are your chassis' setup: Kit with alloy upper bulkheads???... or all alloy???

Are either of you using a Cut or Split top deck???

Cheers, i'll keep you informed of my progress.

My 27T kit is stock car with plastic bulkheads and full deck with a front steel spool.
Prefer its handling over the full option ally kit for use on asphalt with rubber tyres.

If you run 64 dp spurs and pinions what range would you advice to carry?

78t/48dp is what I run, I think you could fit a slightly larger one, maybe 1 or 2 teeth bigger, but the 78T has plenty of adjustment, I can run big pinions (30+) for 19T and small pinions for revvy 27T or mod with no problem.

Equivalent 64dp would be 104t.

Make sure you get a spur with 4 holes in the right place for it to fit. Kawada is what I use, as supplied by Much-More UK, and they are perfect.

What kind of upgrades are people doing for rubber tire carpet. Should be getting 08 kit in early next week.

Car is great for rubber tyres out of the box. The only significant parts that I am using that are not in the box are some Rayspeed shock pistons with bigger holes and the optional steel spool.

I would run the car plastic and without bars unless the grip is high.

Apart from that just build the car and run it!
