Xray Fk'04 Asphalt Gearing ??
 

What's the best gearing for a short, outdoor asphalt track for an FK'04 with a 19T Epic motor? Thanks guys!

probabaly around a 7.20 final gear ratio

I run "stock" on a short track, and am geared at 7.3. For 19t I would maybe start with a 6.3 as a reference point. On your track take the longest straight, and cut it into 1/3. At the 2/3 mark you want the car to be topped out. Plug in a transponder, and if your track has it's lap timer on. Go up, or down one pinion gear, and look at your lap times. This will reflect which gear is giving you the quickest lap times. Hope that helped a little?
