The picture is at the right angle to block view of drive train. I do hope fonrt dcj, spool and aluminum diff joint will join the party...

No other new designed parts that I can see, that aren’t already available.. (will have to wait for further info)
There is a new video on the Tamiya Youtube channel, with Satoshi Maezumi & Riku Sunahara showing off the TB05R

Yes it comes with DCJ’s but 39mm & alu diff joints.. Comes with a new design motor mount with fancy TB05 etching, but disappointingly no blue aluminium diff bulkheads..

Perhaps they've shortened the chassis to compensate for the 420-style rear arms (which would otherwise add 3mm to the wheelbase).

Unlikely they use a new molding for the R. It's the standard chassis with another material.
That's the last iteration before a TB06 starts and the costs for a new mold are really high.
I guess they use a harder material than the standard chassis, maybe harder than the graphite reinforced one.
Something similar they did with the old TRF419X/TA07 A-arms. There are soft, medium and hard ones available.

e: Maybe I'll buy one and sell the chassis and motor mount to subsidize the price a bit. Always dangerous.

I'm just waiting til they drop in price (if they ever do?) and cursing them for not being around when I built their not-quite-as-blingy equivalent for several times the price :P

I am hoping I can pick the brains of you guys who are more veterans on this chassis.
I've been running with my indoor asphalt group for about a year now. In USGT there are a variety of Schumacher Mi6s and Mi7s, Xrays and a lone Serpent. I've always tried to not follow the norm and try something from Tamiya, so I purchased the TB05 Pro back in February.
Many thanks to the 31 pages of good reading here.
One of the pages someone suggested 78/53 and that's what's in the car at the moment. Motor in the front position (cooling fan above), 21.5t and Hobbywing Justock. Gravity RC USGT tires are the spec tire.
I am about 1-2 seconds behind. I know some of it is experience.
I feel like the TB05 Pro is lacking in top speed compared to the other cars on track.
Any other suggestions or tips? Thanks in advance!

Well that's odd...
