Soldering iron

Above all you must chose a point isolated soldering iron, like ceramic or soldering station. Some ESCs donīt like the AC current of normal soldering irons.

The 20 dollar 40 watt Weller irons work just fine...

Overgear, I use the 60100 model. Which cities are closest to you and I'll try to help locate a place that sells them.

Buy the Iron with the MOST watts that you can afford. 60 or more watts is best.

Speedo says the 40 watt weller works just fine, if I had to choose between the group I would opt for that one.

proudwinner;
That Hakko Iron is $49.95. Extra tips are $18.95. That's still a good price for anything Hakko.
I paid $99 for my Hakko 907 soldering station. I used an Ungar 100 watt Iron for years and it worked fine. The only thing better about the Hakko is adjustable temperature, 15 second heat-up time and it is easier to change tips.

I thought that was a little too good to be true. Sorry about that. Yes they are good, real good.
