what is the best 19 turn motor (not spec)
1. first, this subject has probably been covered here before. If so, please let me know which thread because I can't find any.
2. i do not know much about motors, always have been driving with club handout motors so i didn't need to worry about brushes, springs, shimming, etc. etc. so please excuse me if I sound dumb.
3. now i got slightly better and am moving up in our 19T class. and that one has only one rule, 19 turn brushed motor (540 size of course).
I would like to have the best motor possible but I am lost. What would you guys advice? Our track is a pure electric outdoor track (on the small size) that is kinda technical (lot of turns).
I bought a handwound D5 19 turn motor. I have a trinity Ti 9 turn (yes, 9 turn, but I just bought it for the CAN). And I have a hand wound 19 turn team scream rotor. I have no dyno.
Thanx for any help.

Goto the guys at your track that win on a constant basis and ask them what they are running on the track you will be racing on.... Simple as that!
If you want to know something about the track you will be racing on, best place to get that info. is at that track!

Well if you can run them the Ultra birds are nice since they have adjustable timing... but for an out the pack 19t its gotta be the Integy 19t (blue one)!

how about I put the handwound rotor of the D5 in the can of an Ultrabird (i get a new one cheap(er) off ebay)

I have no clue, we don't run cheater motors were I race......
#8
.... ok, well... we're allowed anything... as long as it is a 19 turn motor...
#10
where can I get that one and what price are we talking about?
i was thinking of using a team checkpoint modified can with a 19 turn hand wound motor....

I personally have had luck with most of the 19T out these days, but by far, the one i keep coming back to is the Integy based Atlas (blue can). It is a torque monster with tons of top end as well. You have to gear it to the moon to make it come alive, but once it does....watch out....
I would say the workhorse out of all 19T is the C2 - great overall motor - can't go wrong.
the Reed Quad - if you get a good one - they are just as good if not better than the atlas, but if you don't have a good one, its a dud -
The Orion Element - I liked this one as well - not as punchy, but the ones i have tried - they are more efficient than the C2's and Reedy's.
I know if you want a "super duper Outlaw who cares about 19T rules" - go with the DC outlaw motor -
