Cool

That's true, and if you loose with a slower motor, you always have an excuse

Well, I'm pretty sure Razzo is the other Jeff, or is it Geoff? Anyways, the guys who run Mod, are much better than me. So, I would need all the power I could get, to have a chance. Like I said, I'm happy where I am. End of the winter, and I bet I'll be running Mod... of course that's about when the Mod season ends, but oh well.

Cool

I might run mod occasionally when I get better, but I think the increased wear on tires and parts would be too expensive for me.

Cool

Jeff just start running mod. Do not worrying about if they are better then you. Shoot I race with 3 of the "A" main guy from the Last off-road Worlds and they beat my butt all the time. But I go out and have fun and if I can keep up that make me feel so good to do so.

I'm having a blast in Stock right now. But, if I'm going to go into Mod, I want to know I can do it competitively. Right now, I don't have the money for the batteries and motors, as well as the extra upkeep for the car itself. I'm questioning my skill, but I KNOW that when I do go into Mod, I'll learn how to drive the car, and how to use the power to help me, and not hurt me. Nothing says that if I don't race Mod next week, I can't ever race it. Sometime this winter, I'll buy some 3000's, and a couple motors, and go out there and have fun racing Mod. Untill then, I'll keep having fun in Stock.

robotronics, no you don't have to have a laptop to use it. How-ever, it does give you a much better perspective of the motor if you have a laptop, cause you can tell if it was a bad test.
