Well it didn't fit..
I figured out a 48p 78/30 combo is the max I can fit and 78/22 is on the low end of the range.
Based on that I made this chart for 48 and 64p .. Does this look reasonable?
I think I need a 86/48 for 3.94 and I can get to 3.57 with the 53t pinion I already bought.
On other topics I blew out the glued one way.. It's been replaced with a ball diff now. I also picked up a few spare parts. More arms than I know what to do with

I'd feel better if I had more steering and camber blocks and less arms
That camber block shouldn't have broken with that little hit it took but the PO had carved the webbing off the front of the block and took all the strength out of it.
On the one way the out drives keep breaking loose. The glue isn't holding..
Maybe if I rough up the shanks before gluing it..
The ball diff is working well for now.

Carpet season has wrapped up..
We survived the last night without a break down.. YES!
One of the guys there was nice enough to run through the suspension on his setup station and we got it dialed in fairly well.
The track operator brings in a mini store in a trailer.. Honestly he has a better selection of parts for touring cars then my local hobby store..
I got lucky and found a Kimbourgh 86t 64p spur and 48t pinion on the rack..
I haven't had time to tear it down and see how it fits.
Plans for the summer are get the gears and 25.5 installed.
Buy VTA wheels and body..
I also got a few more parts from the PO. a set of new aluminum front arms, aluminum C blocks, aluminum rear hub carriers and a spare set of king pins.
I wonder if those aluminum SD steering blocks on Ebay would fit..

These cars were originally designed to handle down to 8 ish turn brushed motors running old 6 cell packs. Todays equivalent would be 13.5T brushless running in Blinky mode. You could run bigger power, which I have, but you would want the steel diff outdrives from the offroad cars.

My car makes a horid screaching sound when its accelerating, even gently acceleration. Any ideas what it could be? Car has very low hours on it. just re greased the rear diff. Could the diffs be slipping?
How tight do i make the diffs?
When i tried to get it to do a "burn out" by putting the bumper against my foot and hitting the gas the motor turned but not the tires....
Thanks for your help.....
