Hello guys just wonderin the advantages of using the narrow SPECIAL chasis over the pro chasis. Im now currently using the special chasis but unfortunately the belt rubs the motor, to prevent this I have to shim the motor with washers just to lift it a bit to prevent the belt from rubbing. Any comment will be fine with me, please help....

So is anyone else still running the old belt driven MR4TCs? I currently have three of them. I need to learn as much about them as possible.

Snakeeyes, what was up with your old mR4TC that made you thing that it was cursed? I need to know, because through some transactions, I end up with your car this week. It might have been nice to know that you were having troubles with it before I bought it.

Obviously the MR4TCs are great cars, have had two specials and now I have a SSG.

I just got one of these....Hara-Worlds edition

Are these things even competative any more? If so...whats the hot setup? I'll probably run it outdoors

If I get into the car I'll go with the Penguin Graphite Conversion

They are still competitive from what I heard from the guy that sold me three of them. He had several other TCs including an X-Ray and said that they were still able to keep up. I think that the new MR4TC would be less maitenance.

I have a penguin conversion that I am not using. I will use my SSG for the racing on Saturday.

Hello, I just bought an MR-4TC and was looking at the parts list on yokomousa.com. I was wondering which of the chassis and components would be better: the Pro, World's, or Special. Yokomo sells a SPECIAL conversion kit, which i assume has all of the SP components. Is this the most resent and probobly the best one to get? What are the main differences. And what is the difference between the HD hub carriers and the regular ones?(or all of the HD and regular parts)
Thanks

SSG is the best, followed by Special, followed by World's, followed by Pro.

Socal Snakeeyes, I figured out what was wrong with your old MR4TC. One of your front shocks was dry. But more than that, you had two different front suspension arms. One was newer and the other the older style. The problem was the mounting point for the shocks were different on each arms. So one side the shock was standing more up and down and the other is was lying down more.

Recently bought and sold another MR4TC. As a club member and I were checking it out before getting into the hands of new club member, we saw a couple of problems. 1. A wheel that came of a street weapon, has a smaller hex and came undone. 2. That same corner was also missing an outer bearing on the hub. Needless to say the car would spin out in the corners. We sorted it out quit and now it runs very well.

CGM? I do not know that one. SSG, I do know about. Anyone know what all is offered from Yokomo?

A good person to ask questions to is probably Steve Wang, the owner of Speedtechrc. He, I am sure knows all things Yokomo.

I was looking at one of the setup sheets for the SSG.

It side RS#2 pistion what does RS stand for?

I was wondering what is the best place is to get the CG conversion?

Is Speedtech the only place that sells the conversions?

Yodace, this thread is for the older Yokomo *Belt* drive car. I think you are refering to the CGM conversion for the SD, right?

Any number of online shops carrying Yokomo parts should have them or be able to special order them.
