Yokomo MR-4 TC Thread
#2311
i posted this in my section "Tamiya TRF" etc. but i thought i might ask the yokomo guys.
i was wondering...
do these yokomo bodies come with those headlight stickers? or do we have to paint them in?
The stratus bodies, specifically the "new style stratus" and the "type d" bodies.
Also, if u notice in the second row of pictures, the yokomo stratus body has those head lights again here: http://www.oct.zaq.ne.jp/nao-jun/
are those stickers? or painted in? thanx.
**and here's the second part of my post..
oops, forgot to give link...
http://64.70.208.72/speedtechrc/3.html
the yokomo bodies here. stickers? or painted headlights?
also, for speedtechrc..
do the yokomo stratus bodies come with stickers, window masking sheet, and wing mounting hardware, etc?
thanx.

I can verify that HPI spurs do not work on the Yokomo cars. The screw patterns do not line up.

I have the type C and it comes with both styles of headlight.

Same as for center one-way access. I mean, they got a car that drives real nice and all but its a nightmare to maintain IMHO : P
I would also seems to me that Yokomo is neglecting that racers do want to have the OPTION of running perhaps anti-squat, anti-dive etc and generally the other tuning options which teh newer breed of cars have.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are working so hard on the new car they are neglecting the MR4... or I may just reconfigure the MR4 for drifter duty and get another raceacr hahahaha
PS Does your nick by chance have anything to do with Days Of Thunder??

Type C and Type D body from Yokomo includes headlight. Type D is the one that Masami used during Japan National Championship.
It is also a heaache to change the part in MR4. All I know, Yokomo has try to use different type of front and rear bulkhead to create different skid angle (I think).
Here are some of more up to date information in regards to the TC Special Version 2:
KingPin A Arm
Front Caster block 3 degrees
New Front steering block (option part before)
New front shock tower (3 body post)
New Shocks
New Hollow Center Shaft
Lightweight hex

From www.yokomousa.com
PART #YS-1SSS-6 (Price: $30.00)
Threaded Aluminum Shocks, Coated (MR-4TC)
That should be just 1 pair

Special and Worlds Differences?
Hi guys, I am posting for a friend. He just got a really good deal on 2 mr4tc's. One is a special and the other is a Worlds. I am not familiar with the yokomo sedans and he is new to racing rc cars so I/we are trying to find out which car he should use. Is one better than the other? FYI, He will be racing on smooth un prepared assphalt and sorex 32's have been the tire of choice. Thanks, Blake.

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.
BLAKE. Pops is right. The Special was a further developement of the already great Worlds car. So given the choice I would run the special. However the Worlds too may be more suitable in certain applications.
I know guys who swear by the old Pro (Worlds) type chassis. It certainly allows more space to fit electrics etc. But I love my Specials.
