beat this horse to death
i am thinking of buying a .21 motor soon.i was informed by the manuf of my buggy that rb concepts makes a good motor.anyone have experience with these motors and can suggest a certain model that is going to be reliable, kinda fast, not the cream of the crop, easy to tune and easy on the wallet?i am sure that you guys get sick of answering these questions but thanks for any responses.

1st thing to ask so we can recommend an engine is this.
How big is your track?
Is this your 1st time to race 1/8th scale buggy?
RB makes really nice motor's.High Quality and usually easy to tune.
Let us know how big the track is and if it's a tight infield or alot of flowing corners letting you keep up alot of speed.
Description of the track is pretty important when it comes to motor selection.
That will let us know to recommend a 5 port design or a 7.

actually tex i have a pic of the track to post.the part in the front is a straight about 50 to 60 feet long.sharp left at the end of that to a tabletop about 15 feet after the turn.the rest of the track you can pretty much see is tight turns and little straights with some moguls/whoops thrown in.i consider it to be a short track.the guys who have been racing for a while there get laps of about a minute and a half.i have not raced yet but have been practicing on the track for a few months now.i do not want to be the dude holding folks up.thanks for ya'll's time.

That front straight has got to be longer than 50' or 60' isn't it? Looking at the rest of the track that front straight looks to be more like 120' plus. Either way if this is your first time racing 1/8 for that track the RB S5 or S7II would suit you just fine. Both tune very well and there is only about 30 bucks between the two with the S7II being the more expensive one. The S7II has a little better mid to top than the S5 but both are great engines. Once you get some track time in and are ready to move up the WS7II would be perfect for that track but for someone who is new it would be a handful.

RB does have a RB Econoport that is 3 ports. It has what I consider to be good bottom end and ok top end. Then again it all varies on tracks and driving styles.
